I've always loved reading and writing. Many years ago, I wrote a lot of short stories and humorous articles for women's magazines. But I longed to write novels, and dreamed of becoming an author.

Fast forward to today, with much more life experience to write about, and a good number of published novels under my belt. I write crime thrillers. Countless hours spent watching every high-octane film available in my youth instilled a permanent love of edge-of-your-seat suspense.

Two of my series are set in the fictional towns of Brackford and Hale Hill, which are based on Romford and Harold Hill in north-east London, where I worked for several years. Harold Hill is the location of the real ‘murder mile’. When I'm not writing, I'm busy scaring myself silly riding big, feisty horses, or walking around the countryside dreaming up exciting new plots. As if that wasn't enough, I still manage to squeeze in the day job, trying to make small budgets do great things in the fight against homelessness.
