UK National Crime Reading Month (part 2)

So, in the second half of the month, I read another three books.

I bought this book at the beginning of this month. A few days later, I attended an author conference and I met the authors. MS Morris are a husband and wife writing team, and they're both lovely.

After meeting the authors, I thought I'd better read the book, so it went straight to the top of my TBR list.

I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. It's a top class police procedural. I would give it 6 stars if I could, and I'm not just saying that because I met the authors. https://amzn.to/44acoE8

JM Dalgliesh writes police procedurals with a bit of grit. It transports the reader to the bleak reality of a Scottish island, which fits rather well with the tragic murder victim. Highly recommended. https://amzn.to/3RdCEdW

Another murder mystery set in Yorkshire. This one delves into the world of potholers.

If I was ranking the three books in terms of gritty realism, this one would come last. Luckily, it has a lot of other thing going for it. https://amzn.to/4oWBLCQ

Full disclosure - I make a very small commission if you buy one of these books using the links above. It helps fund me to write more of my own books. It doesn't influence my opinions of the books I recommend.
